A weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish, this week we were prompted to pick our own theme. Heroines who know their worth and can look after themselves - and sometimes save the hero - are characters that I identify with. Not because I'm particularly kick-ass myself, but because that's something I aspire to be, maybe? In any case, here are some of my favourite novels featuring strong female heroines who are just perfect in their own ways.

Charley Davidson ( - don't you just wish that was your name?), is a PI... and also the grim reaper.
Why read about her?
Because sometimes you need a funny, kind of cheesy paranormal romance with a protagonist who has so much personality. Charley's pretty awesome.
